Video: "Six Wolves" - Let's Buy Happiness

Ever since I featured them as my band of the month way back in April I have been keeping one eye on these guys, because lets face it, they can't do much wrong. From the lyrics and artwork of vocalist Sarah Hall to the incredible new song 'Six Wolves' it all seems like good news for the lads and lass from the Toon. Check out the video for 'Six Wolves' and read more about Let's Buy Happiness after the beep.

Midnight Club EP (Part 3: Targa) - Russ Chimes

Part 3 in the series of short films sound-tracked by the impressive Midnight Club EP from Russ Chimes. This film contains possibly the best track on the EP entitled "Targa". Watch Part 3 after the beep.

Russ Chimes 'Midnight Club' EP Preview

Russ Chimes has remixed a song from just about everyone who is anyone at the moment and he has been featured on many a music blog, but none of it grabbed my attention until I watched this little snippet of material from his new EP 'Midnight Club'. Not only is the video telling what looks like a pretty epic tale, but this guy can make some pretty epic dance music. Watch the video preview after the beep.

V For You - Las Robertas (Video Preview)

Soooooooo these gals are pretty great musicians, they make an original lo-fi brand of rock which is already building up a pretty solid fan base including GorillaVsBear who originally brought them to my attention. As if they didn't sound good already you can grab their album HERE for free. Their new video for the single 'V For You' is out soon but they have given us a nicely shot preview and its all looking good. Watch the video preview after the beep.

MP3: Goodbye Girl - The Shins

So of course when I first saw this over at stereogum, I got very excited, The Shins are making new music? Well unfortunately, no. well not yet. They are however doing a pretty damn good cover of Squeeze's goodbye girl. Read more and download after the beep.

Video: Your Direction - Chief

Probably one of the best melodies written this year. Chief combine swaying guitar with harmonic lyrics to create one of the best songs you will here this summer. Read more about the video and listen after the beep.

Hypewriter: Lissie

2010 has so far laid the Goulding-Diamandis foundations of a craze sweeping the musical world, the craze of the off the wall female singer songwriter. As well as Marina & The Diamonds have done to build on that foundation, the genre-craze is yet to find its Je ne sais quoi. In my opinion Lissie is just that. More on Lissie, including Videos and MP3's after the beep.

Video: Pass Out - Chiddy Bang

Tinie, HEY Tinie......take note, this is how it is done. Video after the beep.

Video: Mumford & Sons Live on Jools Holland

In my opinion Jools Holland's show 'Later Live' never showcases a bands live talent to its full extent, the instrumental part is never loud enough. Having said that there are a few bands which still manage to get that-Top of the Pops style, slightly embarrassed to dance-crowd moving. Mumford & Sons are one of those bands. They played my favourite song 'The Cave' and 'Roll Away Your Stone', both of which sounded great. You can watch both video's and comment after the beep.

She & Him Live on David Letterman

As much as the She part of She & Him looks petrified in this live performance you can't argue with the impressive sound the band created here. It almost covers up the media's feeding frenzy on the fact that there is an ACTRESS in the band, almost. Enjoy.

Biffy Clyro ft. Marina And The Diamonds @ NME Awards 2010

Live: Ben Gibbard @ SXSW (Video)

Austin, TEXAS just has to keep taunting me with its ridiculously good line-up, first Chiddy Bang and now Ben Gibbard! I have seriously considered up and leaving for the U S of A next year, never mind University! At the gig Ben played an eclectic set with some Death Cab and a few covers thrown in. Thanks to Stereogum for the videos. Enjoy ( I know i would have if i lived in Austin).
