Angela Surf City - The Walkmen

After the more sombre 'Stranded' was leaked I thought these guys album wasn't going to contain that angry edgyness that "Bows + Arrows" produced so successfully, don't get me wrong it sounded great but secretly i longed for that angst ridden rock that made these guys so great. Stranded - The Walkmen

Okay so as I was away this weekend I missed NPR dropping the new track from The Walkmen, who just so happen to be one of my favourite bands of the past decade. So as you can imagine i was gutted i didn't get there first, but better late then never. 

So I guess after a couple of experiments these guys are back to their best with this sorrowful melody driven by brass and the soulful lyrics. Listen to 'Stranded' after the beep.
