Alreet. I've been away for a long while due to an ever growing list of reasons but seeing as i've got some time on my hands I thought I would let you know how awesome Let's Buy Happiness' single launch was. Read the review and find out about Sarah Hall's interesting crush after the beep.
Since missing their opening slot at this years Evolution festival i have been clamouring after an opportunity to see these guys live and thankfully that opportunity came last night at their launch of their new single 'six wolves' (which can be seen and heard here).
Let's just say that even listening to their brilliant studio material could not prepare me for how good they were gonna be live. Almost every aspect of their music was just that little bit more special in that cosy top floor of Digital. Sarah Halls vocals where beautifully unpredictable and resonated through the intricate riffs of 'Works Better On Paper' and 'Devil's Show'. To think these guys have played just a spattering of gigs is bizarre considering the stage presence they possessed was that which you would expect from seasoned musicians rather than tour debutants. Also worth a mention were the impressive support bands, Grandfather Birds whose single 'Fourteen Mile' is itself worth a single launch gig and Trapped In Kansas.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, Sarah Halls crush (announced halfway through the set).......Casper the Friendly Ghost. Not the CGI version obviously.....that would be weird?
